A laceration by glass of the left eyebrow and the left upper eyelid was sutured. Three weeks later, there was pronounced hardening, redness and retraction of the scar.
An attempt was made to improve scar maturation by two sessions of PRP injections, with an interval of six days. It is not possible to determine in one individual to what extent the result came from natural scar maturation and to which extent this was influenced by the injection. Nevertheless, clinical research in groups of patients has shown the positive effects of the treatment.
