A surgical correction of the upper eyelids was combined with a CO2 laser treatment of both upper and lower eyelids and the skin around the eyes. The laser treatment was repeated after a month.
The CO2 laser treatment stimulates the production of collagen. The wrinkles do not disappear but the skin contracts over the course of a few months. Light oedema of the dermis does also mask the wrinkles to some extent in the beginning. After a year, the durable result of the treatment can be observed.
