Abdominoplasty and Buttock Lift (Torsoplasty)

This lady developed severe skin laxity after losing 38 kg. of weight. She had a transverse scar over the upper abdomen, due to an emergency treatment of a complication of stomach banding. This made it necessary to place the abdominoplasty scar in the middle of the abdomen, instead of inferiorly. The correction was continued on the back, to correct the buttocks as well. The scar on the back is also in a higher position than usual.
Because of delayed wound healing, the scar is wider and more visible than usual.
The pictures show how the contour of the buttocks can be rejuvenated by partial excision and partial shifting of fat and skin of the lower back.
Age category: 30 - 34 years.
