Breast-lift (mastopexy)

This patient had a classic breast lift.
Considering the extent of the descent it was necessary to remove a large quantity of skin. In order not to let the remaining skin bear the full weight of the breast, the inferior part of the breast tissue was sutured higher onto the pectoralis major muscle. The skin was closed around the areola and, in L-shape, on the lower pole of the breast. The vertical part of the L extends from the areola to the inframammary fold. The horizontal part was placed in the fold in the direction of the axilla. On the left breast, some minor skin folds persist. They are very likely to disappear with further softening of the scars.
Age category: 35 - 39 years.
