Subcutaneous fat deposits were removed from the waist, the hips and from the inner aspect of the thighs and the knees.
When large volumes are treated, the correction of body contour may be incomplete, as in this patient's hips. Extensive corrections carry a risk of skin retraction and excessive lack of elasticity. The treatment is a compromise between maximal correction and maximal safety. When the tissues have healed completely, an additional liposculpture procedure may be considered.
After nine months, a secondary correction was performed with liposculpture of the hips and thighs, and limited lipofilling of the lateral aspect and some skin retractions of the buttocks.
Age category: 30-34yrs.
