Resorbable threads where inserted under the skin of the forehead under local anaesthesia. The threads have small indentations. Close to the hairline, they are responsible for the suspension, close to the eyebrows for the lifting.
By reflex the tendency to lift the eyebrows with the forehead muscles diminishes, thereby giving a more rested look. The combination of lifting and muscle relaxation limits the extent of eyebrow elevation, which can best be seen on the 3/4 views. The net result is the disappearance of the "heavy forehead" feeling and a more radiant look of the face.
