Sagging lower eyelid (ectropion)

This gentleman developed a complete ectropion on the right, an ageing phenomenon. Treatment was required to protect the eye. Under local anaesthesia a small piece was removed from the lateral side of the eylied and eyelid border was attached more firmly to the periosteum of the eye socket ("tarsal strip procedure").
Age category: 75 - 79 years.
