Skin excess in the upper eyelids was removed and the upper eyelid skin fold was defined better. Volume loss lateral to the outer corners of the eyes was replaced with fat from under the lateral aspect of the eyebrows.
Skin excess on the lower eyelids was removed by direct excision over the border of the bony orbit, leaving scars that were hardly noticeable a few months after the operation. Excess fat in the lower eyelids was operated on through the inner lining of the lids and moved downwards to compensate volume loss over the orbital margin (tear trough).
