Liposculpture, Hernia Repair, Abdominal Wall Tightening, Abdominoplasty

The subcutaneous fat deposits of the waistline were treated by liposuction. An umbilical hernia (subcutaneous migration of abdominal content) was repaired. Abdominal muscles, which had moved away from the midline, were surgically restored in their original position. The aponeurosis of the external oblique abdominal muscles were tightened. Finally, the abdominoplasty was performed. The skin below the belly-button was removed. The remaining soft tissues were pulled down to cover the lower half of the abdomen. The belly-button was reconstructed.
The dark scar is typical for the situation a few months to a year after the operation. The red or pink colour disappears over one to two years.
One year after the operation, a small procedure was carried out under local anaesthesia to give the navel a deeper and more naturel aspect.
