Mini-facelift, blepharoplasty and lipofilling

Fat was removed from the inner aspect of the thighs by gentle liposculpture. It was purified and injected under the skin of the forehead, the eyebrows, the temples, in the in so-called "tear trough" between the eyelids and the cheeks, over the cheekbones, in the most depressed part of the cheeks, in both the upper and the lower lips, in the nasolabial folds and in the marionette lines.
During the same operative time, a limited facelift (MACS-lift) was performed to reposition the sagging cheeks. Sagging of the upper eyelids (so-called "ptosis") was treated operatively as well.
Lipofilling of the forehead and the temples restores the young, round contour of the upper part of the female head. Aging causes the temples to flatten. In frontal view, this makes the "tails" of the eyebrows "disappear behind the corner". Restoring volume under the eyebrows will also create an impression of eyebrow lifting.
By filling the "tear trough" and the deepest point of the cheeks, the division of the cheeks in different compartments by the aging process (one part under the eyelids, a second part over the cheekbones, a third part under the cheekbones) is changed into the youthfull, single curve.
Restoring lip volume also treats the lengthened look of the older upper lip. The nasolabial folds and the marionette lines are hidden, and the corners of the mouth are repositioned upwards. To read about the limited facelift please click here.
