Breast augmentation by lipofilling after expansion by negative pressure

This lady underwent breast augmentation by expansion by negative pressure, followed by lipofilling.
For six weeks before the operation, domes with a soft border were applied over the breasts at night and during week-ends. A small pump provided light suction, which made the breasts gradually expand.
Fat was harvested by gentle liposculpture from the waistline, the hips, the abdomen, the anterior aspect of the thighs and the inner aspect of the thighs and the knees. Hence, the operation also included a subtle body contour correction. Click here to see the improvement of body contour.
The fat was filtered and injected through stab incisions of at most three millimetres in the inframammary fold. The fat was injected mainly in the subcutaneous tissue and in the muscle under the breast.
The fat was distributed homogeneously over the surface and the base of the entire breast. The volume three months after the operation, when all swelling subsided, can be considered as durable in most patients. Nevertheless, some studies indicate that this is only certain one year after the operation.
Compare the images by three: the left one shows the situation before the treatment. The middle picture shows the effect of breast expansion by negative pressure, immediately before the operation. On the right you see the result after one year.
At the end the donor sites before the operation are compared with the result after 3½ months. Fat harvesting for lipofilling may improve body contour but is not the same as a complete liposculpture.
Age category: 25-29 years.
