Breast augmentation by lipofilling (fat transplantation)

This lady underwent breast augmentation by lipofilling. Localised fat deposits were removed by liposculpture from the waistline, the hips, the abdomen, the anterior an inner aspect of the thighs and the inner aspect of the knees. The fat was filtered and injected through stab incisions of at most three millimetres on the border of the areola and at the base of the breast. The fat was injected in the subcutaneous tissue and in the muscle under the breast, while creating tunnels in the breast tissue was avoided.
The fat was distributed homogeneously over the surface and the base of the entire breast. In the standing position, it is mainly the improvement to the fullness of the upper part of the breast that is apparent. A subtle breast augmentation has an important aesthetic effect on the cleavage area.
