Upper Blepharoplasty Relaxes the Frontal Muscles

This patient had a simple correction to the upper lids under local anaesthesia. Only skin excess was removed.
Microcoagulation restored the natural crease in the eyelid and prevents the skin from sliding down over the lid margin. This is the simplest version of aesthetic blepharoplasty with the fastest recovery.
The frontal muscles elevate the eyebrows and help to open the eyes. After a blepharoplasty, this help is less required. When the frontal muscles are less tense, the face appears more relaxed but the eyebrows also drop a bit.
Age category: 40-44 y.
