Congenital, minimal ptosis of the left upper eyelid

This lady had a slightly droopy left upper eyelid. This was a congenital condition. There were no problems with vision, but the different position and shape of the upper eyelids was disturbing.
The attachment of the muscle that lifts the upper eyelid was shortened under local anaesthesia. The natural skin crease in the eyelid and the amount of visible eyelid skin where thereby adjusted to the proportions of the other side.
Age category: 25-29 yrs.
