Upper Eyelid Ptosis: Correction

This lady developed progressive sagging of her upper eyelids by weakening of the connection of the levator palpebrae muscle, which opens the eyelid, and the eyelid border. The problem was worse on the right than on the left. Treatment of this condition is more complicated than skin removal only. The connection between the muscle and the eyelid border was shortened and reattached and some skin excess was removed.

Two months after the operation some minor swelling of the skin persists.

Age category: 50 - 54 years.
